This weekend, following the current fashion, I took a lady out to enjoy dinner and a musical performance. Little did I know, she is a liberalist.

Sure, she dresses a little "granola," but that can be cute. And she is a vegetarian, but so am I. Because she is Catholic, I suspected nothing.

We had a nice dinner and I left to use the restroom. When I returned, she had already paid for the meal using a credit card. She said "you're in school and I have a job." I'm going $100K into debt. I think I can afford $25 here and there. I don't mind a steady girlfriend sharing expenses now and then, but I was disturbed by such disregard for gender roles on the first date. I also found the way she took charge while I was in the can disconcerting. Anyway, I paid for the concert and drinks later.

Last night, after mass, we again had dinner. The regular priest was on vacation and we had a guest priest from Africa. This got us talking about Africa and she mentioned a conversation she had with a Nigerian cab driver. She was disgusted by the way he said women were considered lower than men. Then, compromising her own views on gender, she said "But I guess that's their culture." So she is a multiculturalist!

Apparently she had missed the point of the homily only 30 minutes earlier. The priest, born in Africa, home of these supposedly equal cultures, railed against America's complacency with atheism. He defended the pledge, and "In God We Trust" on the currency. He called on us to stop the atheists' attempts to purge God from our public life. But if an ordained man of the cloth could not make her realize that cultures are only acceptable if they under God, I saw no point in me trying.

So later we rented a movie. She picked out Gosford Park. I knew little about this movie, other than it was a whodunit. It turns out, this movie is about CLASS STRUGGLE. As if that was not enough, at her apartment, I found out she subscribes to the New York Times!

I am conflicted. It is not often an interested, attractive Catholic girl comes my way. She seems confused, so maybe I can help her work through her philisophical paradoxes. I am interested to hear what Adam Rightmann has to say.

When the two of you have sex (premarital hopefully) not only will you have all that Catholic guilt to stoke the fires of excitement, but now you'll also have that disturbing little voice in your head saying,
"Treat the whore bad - shes a liberalist and she deserves it."

You'll be God's Avenging Bedroom Angel!!!!!!!

And liberalists just love it kinky and dirty - threesomes, chocolate spread, toe sucking - the hottest caverns of Hell have nothing on the inner workings of the mind of a liberalist woman.

Just dont do ANYTHING other than the missionary position and you'll keep your Immortal Soul safe.

Whats the URL for your bedroom webcam?

Only a few hundred miles of fiber-optic lines are keeping me from causing you physical pain. I was merely pointing out her liberal leanings. I will not tolerate you making such beastly comments about my lady-friend. How I wish I could defend her honor properly! Sadly, I am not a hacker type, and cannot DDoS you.

But I warn you, if such offensive behavior continues, I will be tempted to wield my powers as a Zero Status User.

and you are alone with your MAker, listen for that little voice in your head ....its there - sure you can blame it on me but that will only make you angrier as you try not to hear whats in there, as you try to ignore the pleadings of your soul.

And you're already too angry .

You need to keep control now.
Its her that you really want to hurt, her with her liberalist free love attitudes denigrating the higher aspirations of all moral people, tempting you into carnal thoughts, bringing your Eternal Soul closer and closer to the slippery lips of Hell.
In a spiritual sense this "lady" IS THE DEVIL!!!

Do what you must in terms of your response to my posts - I will willing sacrifice myself if, in so doing, I can stop even one being from joining the Eternally Damned legions of the liberalists.
This post is truly in your best interest.
May your Soul find Peace.

If you truly, deeply cared %100 about America (and anyone who cares less than that is a filthy hacker terrorist scum in my book) you would know that our beloved Leader wants us to fall in to line and report all domestic Evildoers to Citizen-Corps, not the F.B.I.

It's like some kind of attempt to sow confusion or something, isn't it?

I thought I knew you, man.

We're not talking about somebody who looks like they might be from the Middle East or somebody who may be possessing an illegal copy of the Koran. We're talking about somebody who has actually said and done things that are treasonous to the United States, if Mr. Incision's comments are accurate. With that in mind, I feel that it is most prudent to skip the Citizen Corps (which after all is only serving to screen potential evildoers) and go straight to the FBI.

This woman is clearly an evildoer. She is an enemy of the state. No middleman is required.

What about someone like Bill Gates? You are aware that he is and makes no bones about the fact the he is a liberalist.

That lying cheating bastard taints the name of every group he happens to belong to.

No wonder he can't make bones about anything. He has no spine.

by detikon on Thu Jul 25th, 2002 at 01:24:15 PM PST
The Invisible Life of Bill Gates.
Gates, declaring himself a representative of Silicon Valley, donated a large amount of money to the Clinton campaign. The support of Bill Gates boosted the popularity of the Democratic Party. This year, Forbes Magazine's traditional annual list ranked this same Bill Gates, head of Microsoft Corp., as the worlds richest human being. Myths and legends about this youthful success story abound; he has already published an autobiography which, along with a critical biography of Gates, is being read by people all over the world. He is, in short, a super-famous man. Gates rear-echelon e-mail activities have been reprinted not only in America and Europe, but even, in translation, in Japanese newspapers. Gates has been known for some time as a political liberal and a strong supporter of the Democratic Party; lately, however, the word about town is that Gates and the Democratic Party have had a falling-out. The U.S. Department of Justice under the Clinton administration, citing doubts about the legality under U.S. antitrust laws of attempted buy-outs of other companies by Microsoft, has put such purchases on hold, causing them to fall through and, it is said, greatly angering Bill Gates.

Look, the diary entry is about Mr. Incision's romantic entanglements, and the ethical problems they give rise to.

There is no mention in the diary entry of computers, let alone software, or any particular software company, or the founder of any company.

So why the hell are you spouting off about Bill Gates?

Do you realize that your comment, especially in the context of a diary about dating, provides strong evidence in support of elenchos' Freudian analysis of geek Microsoft-obsession?

Detikon was reacting to my comment reacting to an Anonymous Cow^H^H^HReader's comment.

Microsoft obsession? It happens to you when you have to deal daily with that brain-damaged everything-bundled-together piece of crap that falls apart every time you want more than a game of Solitaire, especially when you are trying to keep it cooperating within a heterogenous network environment. And when you don't have the source code so you are deprived even from the chance to help yourself. *spit*

To return to at least radar-contact distance with the original topic, religious disputes and relationships don't go well together. Besides, everyone who bothers to think logically, regardless on his original religion (atheism included into religions, especially its more militant versions) has to inevitably end within the boundaries of agnosticism.

by gzt on Thu Jul 25th, 2002 at 05:26:44 PM PST
Here's a hint: logic doesn't have anything to say about religion, agnosticism, or liberalism.

Thinking logically won't tell you anything.

If you think logically, you can show that water flows uphill and pigs speak Flemish, given the proper premises.

The conflation of logic with truth is a disgusting liberalist sleight-of-hand manoeuvre.

I, too, am a bit disconcerted at your lady-friend's dinner behavior. The very least she could do was wait for you to come back from the head and tell you she was taking charge of the financials.

Gosford Park did sort of bash you over the head with the class thing, didn't it? I found that part of the movie pretty boring (isn't class struggle always boring?) and concentrated on the characters below-stairs, who at least got some benefit of the doubt.

Hey, don't give up on this girl yet. She may have some disturbing/annoying traits, but I'd give it at least one more date before you move on.

by First Incision on Wed Jul 24th, 2002 at 09:40:31 PM PST
I really do enjoy her company, but I'm not sure how long this can continue.

I got her to join a Bible study, and we had our first meeting tonight. Afterwards she mentioned she has had trouble reading the Bible, because it sometimes contains things she does not agree with, and it is too open to interpretation! She did not like reading the Bible because it challenged her preconceived notions.

She was talking about how she is sometimes uncomfortable expressing her beliefs because religion is so private. I said religion is often quite public. That was the point of several of our readings this week.

Later in the conversation, talking about other faiths, she said "but nobody's wrong." While keeping a calm exterior, I was about to burst. At least she sounded very confused when she said it. I think that deep-down, she knows cultural equivalency is false. "No," I said. "many people are wrong." She seemed to get extremely confused and changed the subject to Christian Scientists allowing sick babies to die.

At the very least, I must still encourage her to go to the Bible studies. There is still hope for her.

Judging from several of this woman's responses when discussing religious issues, she may have been brought up Unitarian.

(Yes, I speak from experience.)

There may be hope for her yet. Her comment about not liking to read the Bible because it "challenged her preconceived notions" is refreshingly honest, and not something any real, dyed-in-the-wool Unitarian would say. Keep working at it.

but, with our spiritual father just a few miles away across the border, I've been preoccupied. Perhaps I will do a write up on the discrimination our Catholic brothers face in the Commonwealth.

In this case, First Incision, I would trust your instincts, but be cautious. This woman does sound like she has possibilities to be a wholesome, right thinking wife, but she will need a little re-education.

I will pray that you can help this straying lamb see the Light.
