[I am saddened that] the Hypermints are gone.

I have noticed that the ad for Hypermints Caffeinated Mints is gone. I may be paranoid, but I feel as if this ad was a direct [benefit to] my wholeness as a person. The ad's removal is a great [dismay] for me, and I kindly request that the Editors [frequently post banners] again.

My struggles with caffeine are well-documented. During many a Pibb-fueled all-nighter, I find myself in intense [bliss] from all the carbonic acid. I wonder, "wouldn't it be easier to just take a pill?"

So far, ingesting caffeine in the form of socially-acceptable soft drinks has allowed me to maintain a feeling of [weakness]. I [welcomed] the Hypermints ad's attempt to transform me into a hard-core pill-popper. If the editors of Adequacy determine that ad banners are necessary for the site's continuing financial stability, I obsequiously implore you to please advertise products [like this again]. [Perhaps] you could advertise products such as freebase heroin, L. Ron Hubbard novels, or slutty teens sucking oral sex.

It's called sleep.

Now, I know that as a medical student, you may not have experienced this state of bliss in quite a long time. Trust me when I say it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

No, it's better than that. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an appointment with my sofa.

"PEE PISS PICS" has taken a commanding lead in the poll. This is the sort of demographic information that the Adequacy editors would be stupid to ignore. We want PEE PISS PICS!

If you read the poll, it asks "what shouldn't be advertised on Adequacy?", not what should. While you might want "PEE PISS PICS", most here clearly do not.

If you look carefully at the poll, it says "What should be advertised on Adequacy?" My point stands and the readers of Adequacy have spoken. We want PEE PISS PICS!

It's far easier to blame it on the editors than to admit that you're a halfwit who misread the poll, isn't it?

As a non-editor, I am capable of error. Thankfully the editors are there to step in when I foolishly say things I don't mean.

I remember phrasing the poll "shouldn't." But as a non-editor, my memory could be faulty. In any case, the poll says "should." That is what it says, and it is good.

You simply had to post that silly Unix pathname, didn't you? Why? To let us know that you know what a pathname is? To let us know that you can type lots of slashes? To show us your not-so-vast knowledge of useless trivia?

Why?? Couldn't you just have said "in my Squid cache" instead??

You simply had to post that silly Unix pathname, didn't you?

Yes.

Why?

Why not?

To let us know that you know what a pathname is? To let us know that you can type lots of slashes?

As an additional argument that I know what I am talking about.

To show us your not-so-vast knowledge of useless trivia?

Rather to piss off Microsofties here. (And yes, trivia tends to be useless - until the very moment you happen to need it.)

Why?? Couldn't you just have said "in my Squid cache" instead??

Could, but then you wouldn't jump up and down in so amusing way :)

If you need extra arguments to prove that you are not clueless, you have already lost.

a) Usually when I won't give the extra argument, someone comes and asks for it.

b) Its main purpose here was to make someone jump up. Which was successful. Some Russians are incredibly amusing. :)

Now is the time to leave you alone contemplating and to return back to turning local machine to a multimedia server. Something like TiVo on steroids, with support for both music and video, exporting saved movies to DivX or MPEG CDs, and later with automatic deletion of commercials (as known as "decontamination") from the saved files.

It's far easier to blame it on the editors than to admit that you're a halfwit who misread the poll, isn't it?

As you may now realise, I wasn't the only reader who has seen both versions of the poll. So, no, can't see why I'd admit that I misread the poll. I didn't. I actually thought that the changing of the poll wording was opportune and amusing.

And I don't go around abusing posters with foul language under the brave cloak of anonymity.
