Well, I just submitted my newest story to K5. I wonder how it will play. The fact that I'm hitting the 3:00pm CDT crowd, after the brits have gone away and the height of the conservative crowd, will be a little bit damaging. I think that it's strong enough to stand, though. |

It was hard to get out. I felt a little rusty, but now that it's on paper (or on disk, rather) I feel like I could write another in half the time. Getting the K5 reaction live-and-direct during the very early stages of voting is particularly interesting. I don't know if the story will sink or swim, but it does seem that there's some opposition, even if it's friendlier than what I'm used to... So now I need to start concentrating on what my next piece will be. Before that, though, I have something else I need to work out. Right now, I am lacking in a certain area. The people who are critiquing my current article are perhaps the best at pointing it out so far. I have a real problem backing up my information. This is typically because I have very little information to go on. I consider myself pretty well-read. I'd like to say that I have lots of information at my fingertips, what with the internet and all, but I know that if I put more effort in, I could end up with much higher quality work. You see, my sloth goes so far as to interrupt my very writing. How horrible is that? See, this is why things like working out are so important to me. It's because I see it as the one true way to combat my lazy nature. Working out physically makes me stronger, makes me last longer, and generally increases my energy. Increased energy is the key, right now. It's the one thing that I need most. The answer to 99% of my problems. Now, if only I can steel my will and actually work to increase my energy, than I'll be a better human being... |
