I got some French Brandy (Bardinet Napoleon VSOP) for the dinner party with the Pagans next Friday. I'll have to buy snifters, but in the end the relaxation of not having to mix drinks after dinner (before I have to go to work at the club) will be greatly appreciated. I also managed to get most of my Christmas shopping done at the liquor store. Read on for the gift list...

Most of the gifts were for PSA people, small things that might impress them. They had these candy canes with four little airline-bottles of liquor in them. One was all Stoli in four various flavors. One had Cognac, Beefeater Gin, Vanilla Stoli, and Burbon. The last one had Midori, Kahlua, more Stoli (they must have released about a million little bottles), and some Whisky. Then I got a little gift package of Jack, with three different versions in a nice collector's box. These little knick-knacks were cheap, and they should impress the PSA people. For my father, I'm getting a bottle of Bushmills 10 year old single-malt Irish Whiskey. That should impress him quite a bit. For my girlfriend, I got a bottle of Godiva Chocolate Liquer. I've already given it to her (me being Mr. no-will power) and she really liked it. (Though, to our surpise, it didn't mix as well with Bailey's Irish Creme as we thought...) I think from now on, I'm going to get all my presents from two places. Either the book store or the liquor store. Both have a wide variety of items, both have good price-ranges, and both will give you the chance to get a gift that really fits the recipient's personality... |
