I was going to go with Ahmad, but then i realized .. "ahmad who?" i mean really, if you look at osama's killing numbers, and his winning charm, coupled with his ability to win over the love of a nation by just being wealthy .. well, you gotta love a guy like that. |

Honestly, in every picture I've ever seen Osama, he truly looks like a religious man. I mean seriously, he looks like the sort of fellow who would be nice to children. He's got very kind eyes. __________________________________________________ once you've remembered, you'll never forget |

Your comments remind me of one day in high school, sitting in European History class and learning about the Soviet Union in the 30s. My friend says, "It's so weird about Stalin. He looks so nice. I mean, he looks kinda like my grandfather."
My reply: "Yeah, if your grandfather's an axe murderer..." |

Stalin looks like a mean motherfucker. Have you ever considered the possibility that your actual grandfather may actually be an actual axe-murderer? Highly likely, given your instilled judgement. Don't worry, although, I have keen instincts myself and you can take my word for it as God's honest truth: Stalin was a blood-thirsty bear of a man; Osama is nice to children and would be a cordial guest at a dinner party.
You're welcome. __________________________________________________ once you've remembered, you'll never forget |

"Have you ever considered the possibility that your actual grandfather may actually be an actual axe-murderer?"
Have YOU considered the actual possibility that the actual poster of that comment was actually talking aboot his actual friend's actual grandfather and not his own? It would not surprise me if your answer was no. For some reason, you don't seem like the kind of person that reads much. I hate america |

No cuddly IRA men like Gerry 'Smiling Beard' Adams or Martin 'Shredded wheat Hair' McGuiness.
What about a blast from the past like Carlos the Jackal. The Israelis have few good ones like Menachem Begin and his Stern Gang... |

One man's George Washington is another man's Osman Bin Laden... I bet Ari Fleischer would think that's an interesting comment. As US policy clearly states, only Arabs can be terrorists. Otherwise those people you mentioned would be wanted by the FBI, and their funds would be frozen. |
Let me remind you that (none / 0) (#14)

Arabs invented airplane hijacking, and Arabs were committing acts of terrorism against Jews long before Israel captured the West Bank and Gaza strip in 1967...heck, they were butchering Jews before 1948.
Arab terrorists committed the Sept. 11th attacks, so it's only fair that the US goes after Arab terrorists. |

What do these terrorists have in common? (none / 0) (#10)

Answer: they're all funded by the US Government. As it is George Bush's plan to wage war against those states which would harbour terrorists, I look forward to the missile strikes against Washington. |

This may be very slightly off topic, but I think it may add to the broad picture.
If you want to know which books really need banning, and where the entire modern generation got their ideas from, you have to go look at the French. They have been publishing a series of manuals, translated into many languages, for years, under the cunning guise of children's cartoon books. (Of course, the original language, French, is also the second language of many Arabs.) USians won't know about this because so many of you cannot read printed material any more, but the ones who aren't on the streets condemning Harry Potter for promoting Satanism should take a long hard look at the Asterix books and see if I'm right. In the world of Asterix, written by Goscinny & Uderzo (kind of Islamic-sounding, no?) the world is governed by a beneficient Roman empire, the global superpower. All of France (read Arab world) is under the control of Rome, which is operating a benevolent system benefiting most of the population, as is seen by the appearance in the books of well-fed prosperous people from places like Paris and Nice. But in a corner of France is a "little village" which continues to resist Rome. This village contains two major terrorists: Asterix and Obelix, one being the brain and the other the muscle. Interestingly for books originating in France, Asterix does not drink alcohol, and Obelix(the comic relief) always suffers great ill effects when he accidentally does. The Romans leave them alone, so they are hardly fighting a war of liberation. But periodically they emerge from their village in order to cause mass death and destruction. This is presented to readers as a highly admirable activity, simply because the Romans are there. Indeed, it is clearly stated that whenever the Roman garrisons surrounding their village are changed, the terrorists venture out to massacre the new ones. When the response of the Romans is to try and eliminate the terrorists, the Romans are shown as invariably losing. A sub-plot element is that the terrorists are protected by a magic potion that makes them invulnerable and enormously strong - clearly a forerunner of the beliefs of Islamic terrorists. In the course of the books, exporting terrorism is shown as being a benevolent activity. When Belgium rises up against Rome, Asterix and Obelix go there in order to support the revolution. They also support the English in a war against Rome. They shield and support other terrorists from Spain and Corsica. They support an Egyptian propaganda war against Rome. They also use magical potions to carry out chemical warfare against Roman soldiers. In their visit to Germany, it is clearly implied that terrorist attacks can change the course of history. Also in the course of the books, they hi-jack boats in pursuit of their aims (no aeroplanes at the time) frequently sinking or otherwise destroying them when their purpose is achieved. The effects of this on civilians are not considered for one moment except as a joke. With the exception of suicide attacks, I thihnk that every component of fundamentalist terrorism can be found in the Asterix books. So: First of all, as the prototype for modern terrorism and as a fount of ideas for terrorists, I believe that the Asterix books should be banned (and the US should obviously declare war on France, which has been using them to promote terrorism for so many years.) Second, I would like to nominate Asterix as favorite terrorist, since, despite being fictional, he is clearly the Platonic archetype and inspiration. |

Was ROME a democracy? How did they conquer territory? What do they do when they conquered a territory? What did they do in France?
Get your facts straight and GROW UP. Rome fucked pretty much everyone and yes, now France is an independant country as well as UK, Germany, Spain and many other cuntries fucked up by the Roman Empire. You should be taken back to that time and get your family killed by the romans. And THEN back to read your stupid ignorant rant. |

My favourite terrorist is John Saul Montoya. A lone woman, fighting the evils of the USian War on Drugs in the Columbian jungle, is much more respectable than some skinny Arab wanker, telling his followers to fly aeroplanes into tall buildings. |
