I like cereal. Cereal is tasty. Much better than cold pizza. Come to think of it, I like cereal more than pizza in general. Actually, I think pizza is terribly over-done and usually sucks. Pizza is passe, old-school, unimaginative, and greasy. Who the hell wants that? I sure don't.

I like cereal.

Do you?

I'm getting tired of these polls. Where are the polls where my opinion is one of the choices? I feel so alienated, even here in my own homeland. There aren't the words to express my feelings of solitude, my life as a pariah knows no bounds. Everytime I look at a poll, I see choices, so many choices. I know right away how I want to answer the poll, but as I gaze at the list of 'choices,' I cry out in anguish. Corn Pops! Where are the Corn Pops?! The entire building heard the sound of my heart screaming in frustration, I WANT MY CORN POPS!

  • CORN POPS

As a child I wanted to know everything. Now I miss my ignorance.

I sincerely apologize. (none / 0) (#3)

The oversight on my part is terrible. Were I able to modify the poll, I surely would include Pops.

I am not who you think I am.

frosted flakes are disgusting (5.00 / 2) (#2)

why anybody would pay money for frosted flakes is way beyond me. for the record i voted for cap n crunch, assuming i can get the one with "berries" in it.

But not your USian muck. Other than "frosted flakes" which I assume is a generic term for Kellogg's Frosties, we don't have any of that stuff here in UKia (AFAIK, anyway). We have the far superior delights of:

Coco Pops
Choco Corn Flakes (my favourites)
Ricicles (which were far nicer when they had the marshmallowey bits in)
Rice Krispies
Sugar Puffs
Frosted Shreddies (nice, but a 500g box lasts less than 4 breakfasts)
Weetabix
Ready Brek (the poor man's porridge)
Porridge Oats (complete with a picture of our very own bc on the box)

The Queen likes cereal too, she endorses Kellogg's cereal.

Porridge rules.

However the best breakfast is a couple of smoked kippers dashed with peppercorns.

Followed by some Stilton. And glenmorangie.

Alchohol, meat and cheese for breakfast is unbeatable. Why do I get the feeling I'll be dead by 40?

Porridge is pretty good, but unless you take it straight to the sink and wash it out immediately, it turns to cement in your bowl. A real pain to clean up.

I do like the idea of alcohol meat and cheese though. I generally don't drink in the morning, but that's just my choice. I don't eat much breakfast at all anymore, in fact, but that's just because I'm lazy. I can cook breakfast foods better than anything else, so it's pretty ironic. While I was in college I practically lived on sausage and bacon, I'd fry it up at around 3am for 'supper' right before bed.... Ahhh, the good old days :)

I still want my pops though

I don't like most breakfasts. Especially these healthkick breakfasts that consist of bran, bran, bran, bran and bran, some more bran and some sultanas.

Unfortunately I can rarely be bothered cooking. This means that I don't eat very much. When I do eat, I make sure to eat as unhealthily as possible. I reckon 1 meal a day of pure unsaturated fat, gristle and, perhaps, a freshly fried tomato saturated with lardy fat (for the vegetable quotient we are all hectored to eat) is much better than endless amounts of bran.

A recent study showed that Inuit tribes, who eat nothing but 100% meat, never ever get heart attacks or clogged arteries. And there is the French paradox, the bane of the medical profession, which is that the frogs eat more fat, more meat, smoke more and drink more than anyone else in the world, and yet, and yet, they live longer! Meanwhile super health conscious USians, with their jogging (I mean, what an absurdity that is!) and bran and running machines, sit ups, fat free yoghurts, no smoking policies, prohibitionism and catholic guilt when it comes to foodly fun, live shorter lives than we Brits with our pork pies and bitter.

This is all the proof I need my friends - its a fat full diet for me, I'm sure I'll live longer and be happier, and damn the hindmost.

♥, bc.

Most American's aren't jogging health food eaters (none / 0) (#10)

rather, they're gluttonous pigs, trying to fill the spiritual hole within them by stuffing their bodies with cheap fatty food and sutffing their heads with dangerous, exploitive television. McDonald's provides the fleshpots of today. IIRC, 40% of Americans are overweight, just one more sympton of American excess.

i find that with a general avoidance of food until say 6 or 7 in the evening, and then enjoying a few margaritas with a light meal will quickly return you to that beloved state of intoxication, where the sorrows of the world are a little less sorrowful, and the women are just a bit younger and thinner.
