i've decided that, much the way the world trade center destruction has changed the mentality of the nation, that i must suffer a life-threatening event (if not death itself) to divert me from the path of desolation i have lain out before myself.

Queen Mum Spontaneously Reanimates, Does Elvis Imitation

as i look back on my life, i see a wasteland filled with the corpses of failed dreams. as i look forward, i see myself walking a path that leads nowhere.

after serious meditation on the subject, i had a revelation as to the core of my failures: my intense hatred of midgets. nothing pisses me off more than a midget. Especially midgets that are shorter than me. I really hate those. fucking midgets.

but i can admit my problem now. and as we all know, admitting you have a problem is the first step toward recovery.

My pet idea (5.00 / 3) (#1)

Seeing eye midgets.

Strap a gimp suit to them and let them lead the blind around. Solves the problem of dogs leading their owners into traffic to sniff another dog's ass, and it gives the midget a place in society.

I think you missed the point (5.00 / 1) (#2)

Clearly "midget" is a metaphor for the pain and anger which surfaced in the wake of the WTC fiasco. A normally whimsical and lighthearted osm is confused about these new, dark feelings churning within him.

And how, at a time when osm is most vulnerable, could you imply that he allow his darker impulses to guide his every move? Although you pointed out that only the truly blind would do such a thing, to suggest that spite-filled hedonists deserve a place in our society is wholly irresponsible. I know you're joking, but does osm? In his current state of mind?

And finally, to osm: childhood doesn't last forever--you're simply growing up. I know sometimes you wish you could return to the "carefree days of youth," but quite certainly you cannot. The sooner you come to terms with this fact, the sooner you will truly become a man.

Good to meet you, friend.

i always liked the idea of midget football. not football played by midgets but football where a midget is used as the ball.
