I don't see the difference between the two. I bet if I pulled a random journal from each, it would be impossible to tell which was from which site.

that the parody lies in the fact that you really can't tell the difference between the two. In fact, if you look at a deadjournal from that perspective, it becomes a brilliant work of satire.

But deadjournal is real. It's just another site using LJ's code. I know real people with deadjournals.
