I guess as someone who has been exposed to a site with adequate technology, I am somewhat frustrated with their poll options.

Nathan VS SR? Who won the debate?
My real question: Is the other news site liberalist because it tries to convince people the world black and white, or is seeing things in black and white a prerequisite for being a liberalist and thus it attracts only liberalists?

I've been called a liberalist, but I don't see things as black-and-white. In fact, I'm always getting infuriated by the obstinance of the people who do.

I too am frustrated by people who refuse to see things my way &endash; the correct way.

You are wrong about liberalism (5.00 / 2) (#3)

A liberalist sees the world in shades of grey, not black and white. To a liberalist, everything is relative. There is no ultimate moral authority, there is no absolute standard of right and wrong.

A liberalist will assert that "child pornography is wrong," but then he will proceed to undermine that moral position by defining the problem away - "what exactly is a child anyway?" With absolute values tidily disposed of, a liberalist is then free to "do as ye will, an harm none" (but what exactly is "harm" anyway?)

Of course, some who have been labelled liberalists have developed their own consistent personal ethics. Some even believe that an absolute morality might exist, but doubt that it is knowable by our limited minds. It's really all shades of grey. And what exactly is a "liberalist" anyway.

Hope this helps.

However, I was confused about cnn, often labeled the 'Clinton News Network'. Why they should have black and white choices is beyond me. I guess to get to the bottom of this I might have to spend more time studying how media works these days to explain there yes/no approach.

It's because of the ill effects of hormonal imbalance (from the unnatural chicken drumsticks) and the American diseducation system. The average American has a hard time keeping more than two things in mind at the same time.

It may also have something to do with the large amount of refined sugar in our diets.

I also wont deny that our educational system needs a LOT of work, but that is a topic for another day eh Katchep?

Before you comment on how the media is telling lies, or is run by big business or is full of liberals, recognize that anyone with 1/2 a brain cell ALREADY KNOWS THIS,.

If reading is not your thing, and I realise that most of the posters here are American, and therefore quite likely to be functionally illiterate, Mr Chomsky has made his work available on DVD Now you have no excuse for being an uneducated moron who states the glaringly obvious.

For not all wasting our precious time reading the works of the one-sided, america-hating, holocaust denying Professor Chomsky.
