Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but the question haunts my mind - who is that odd little girl grinning malevolently at my diary?
diaries

And wouldn't it be nice to choose our own category for the diaries instead of having them all be in the "diary" category? The "diary" label seems rather redundant since all the entries get their own section anyway. I'm not too intimate with the inner workings of Scoop; if it depends on having a special "Diary" category then forget I said this.

...I'll be the one to say it.

Every heard of a little jewish girl named Anne Frank? She had a diary once. That's her picture.

Make sense now?

OK, sorry, I have trouble remembering books I was forced to read in fourth grade. Thank you for reminding me.

I didn't know it at first either. I have absolutely zero desire to read anything by "Anne Frank" and theres certainly no way I would expect to recognize her face.

Where did you go to school, that you were reading books about the holocaust in fourth grade?

Maybe the United States. I know I had to read it.

And I had to read a book about the holocaust in the fifth grade (not Anne Frank's diary, that wasn't until the eighth grade), it was this one about a polish kid who hides out in an abandoned ghetto after everyone else is taken away.

...if the kid's father gave him a pistol before everyone was taken away.

I really don't remember the book's name, just some general stuff about the plot, it's been a long time since I read it.
