can prod at me anymore for my naturally morose demeanor. But I keep seeing people I know along the street, who I smile and wave at. While I'm riding, they're standing, or while I'm walking they're riding.

Today was probably the only day I'll ever walk to the middle of downtown and hold hands with perfect strangers, men even, who squeezed my hand and sobbed.

In case you're bored, some random pictures from the 11th.

Your natural demeanor is absolutely a ray of sunshine and I can prove it any time you want me to. The way you smile alone shows it.

Uh... you didn't come after me here because of that nonsense I posted the other day in that silly Jin Widked's diary did you? You know all of that was in fun, right? Sure you do.

Why, I bet you're laughing about it all right now. Sure.

and I have nothing to do tonight.

Just because I never post doesn't mean I'm not a lurker.

I'll have to tell people that, if they tell me to smile or cheer up. "What, can't you see?? I'm positively a ray of sunshine!!"

I just browsed through your photos from Tuesday. Then the rest of your photos. Then the rest of your site.

I really really like some of your work, especially the photos and drawings.

poltron has a nack for it that people just don't have. next step: self absorbption, whining, and pettiness.

She would be an excellent role model for... (5.00 / 2) (#7)

...any young aspiring artists who spend far too much time on self-promotion, or on catty slams against established artists, and far too little on the things one must do to mature creatively, such as applying to art school, getting a BFA, etc. Poltroon demonstrates that through a more disciplined approach, one can outgrow the clichéd, angsty, starving artist persona (i.e. get paid a lot), and still challenge yourself to take on greater degrees of artistic expression.

Well, OK, I'm idealizing a tad bit, but still. She's basically on the right track and, especially for anyone intersted in both art and computer or information technology, her experiences would be quite valuable.

I seriously doubt she could ever become self-absorbed, however, and would never whine. Can you tell I'm a fan?
