I know that some people like to fabricate false celebrity encounters to elevate their own self-worth and make themselves appear more "important" or "worldly" to their peers, but this really happened, I swear.

In his latest Diary, Slashdot editor Timothy states the following:
Today I took photos documenting my in-progress trip from MD to VA to TN through AR to TX to OK and back for a while to TN. (I'm on the return through AR right now, at a Motel 6 ... Russelville, if you are handy with a Motel 6 directory.) This was scribed on November 1st, at 12:45PM. One would assume that, more than likely, he checked into the Motel the previous night. That would mean that he was at Motel 6 #265 on the night of October 31. It just so happened that on October 30, a mere one day before, I slept in Russelville on my way back home from Little Rock -- only one day removed from Timmah. Not only that, but I originally planned to crash at the very Motel 6 that Timmah would be staying at the next night, until one of the local gas station rednecks talked me out of it and reminded me of some horror stories I'd heard concerning Motel 6 #265. So I stayed at the Best Western instead. I'd spent the previous two nights at Motel 6 #1081 in Little Rock, but hotels in Little Rock are rather overpriced, so for about the same price as Little Rock's Motel 6, I was able to acquire a room in Russelville that was free of vermin. So anyway, the only things separating me from sleeping under the same roof as a Slashdot editor were one day and one random encounter. Had I not stopped at that one particular gas station and spoken to that one particular local, I would have slept at the same motel as Timmah, a mere 24 hours before his arrival. Had my schedule been pushed back one day, or Timmah's schedule forward a day, we would have been there at the same time. Obviously, the powers that be work in mysterious ways, guiding our footsteps and keeping us safe from harm. I'm going to go ritually castrate myself now. In other news, I've obtained employment for the next three months. It's rather simplistic PC installation/upgrade work, but for $175/day and considering the current job market, I guess I can't complain about the lack of mental stimulation. Before they trust me to be doing this rather simple work on my own, I had to watch someone else do this rather simplistic work for two days, and that's why I was in Little Rock. As I mentioned, I stayed at the Motel 6 there, and although it was a tolerable experience, I had a few complaints:
I realize that the Motel 6 probably attracted many of the derelicts of society because it was the cheapest place of lodging in the area -- which leads me to the conclusion that there's no hotel chain that caters to people who AREN'T poor but don't want to pay a lot of money for a night's lodging. I propose that someone start a chain called Motel 7 that's exactly the same as Motel 6 except that to stay there, you have to prove that you're not poor. As it is now, you have to either stay somewhere else and pay a high price for lodging, or stay at the reasonably-priced Motel 6 and deal with poor people who, like 90% of poor people, would mug you if you turned your back on them. I kept a tight grip on my pepper spray, but fortunately I never had to use it on any of the thugs at the motel. I guess most of them were so zoned out from the narcotics in their blood that they didn't even notice me walking by. Back to the list: Well, that about covers it. One last thing I want to mention: I've recently been made aware of THIS SITE, the ramblings of a flaming idiot Lunix user who's obviously jealous about the Internet's most controversial discussion site telling it like it is and exposing the truth about his little Commie OS.
So who is behind InAdequacy.Org? A typical Lunix user, obviously, and a pathological idiot (but I repeat myself). I fancy myself something of an armchair psychologist, so based on my observations, here is my quick-and-dirty psychological profile on Linux King of InAdequacy.Org:
