With apologies to the late Tommy Cooper.

I'm going to Scotland in a couple of weeks. (none / 0) (#4)
by Anonymous Reader on Fri Aug 9th, 2002 at 07:17:31 AM PST
But only Aberdeen, mind.

As it happens, most Edinburgh residents rent out their homes and go on holiday during the festival. They avoid the insanity and make a profit at the same time. Very canny.

I was up briefly last year. I saw Tommy Tiernan, who was top. I also saw Trev & Simon busking on the Royal mile. They were ace!

I'm an economic migrant, as explained on my home page.

As for "what's at the festival?", I generally trust the forums at Not BBC, but I'm not going there myself.

I imagine we can come to some sort of mutual arrangement. I will afford Adequacy a less skeptical eye, if they return me the favour.

"The Edinburgh Festival" (none / 0) (#17)
by Anonymous Reader on Mon Aug 12th, 2002 at 10:35:35 PM PST
Sir,

I wish to draw your attention to the fact that there are in fact two Edinborough Festivals. These are, namely: a) The Edinbrough Festival and b) The Edinbourg International Art Festival. They are quite separate entities, although women of a certain age, wearing richly coloured pashmimae may be assumed equally likely to attend either.

Yours respectfully,
An Edinburro Intimate
