 The merits of a Boeing Business Jet

As my consulting work in the entertainment and intelligence business is finally getting appreciated and one of my more important clients is finally starting to pay for results, I am seriously considering switching to a more relaxing form of transportation like the Boeing Business Jet. It looks a bit bulky, but in the long run I think it's quite a cost effective option. Have any of the editors here considered the bbj or are you sticking to the gulfstream?

I prefer to travel "incognito" as it were. Like a common person.

One of my favorite airlines has got to be Singapore Air. The "Singapore Girl" stewardesses are great. They are all so young and attractive. It's little details like that which are so important really.

I agree - the Boeing Business Jet is tempting. The board of directors (which includes myself) is considering making the switch. However it is in my opinion that the editors to keep the gulfstream in hopes that Boeing will continue it's drive toward modern supersonic business class jets. However, should we decide on a purchase, our government connections ensure Adequacy has enough cash on hand to outright purchase whatever airborn technology we choose.

I trust your business is doing well in our economic downturn? I hear your industry is booming. The wife and children?

I'm glad you chose to personally comment on this subject and thank you for your suggestions.
As you correctly observed, ours is a business that does well in times of psychological insecurity.

As for my family, everyone is doing fine, the twins are starting school.
Maybe we will meet in Deauville. I seem to have missed you by just a few days last time.

Boeing jets were proven as beautiful guided missiles. No wonder the company is named after the sound of their impact.

And, if the security people are beancounter-minded, it will be ridiculously easy to get ahold of one or three.

MD-80 "TwinJet" (none / 0) (#16)

If you are in the market for a business jet, may I recommend a nice MD-80?

McDonnell-Douglas had a real winner with this aircraft. Beautifully designed and a beautiful flying aircraft without those pesky "mysterious rudder failures" Boeings are so famous for. They are a lot quieter inside, too, since the engines are mounted on the back of the fuselage.

The 737 (which the BBJ is derived from) is the equivalent of a '54 Pontiac. The MD-80 is a Jaguar XK8.

Sidenote:

Boeing bought McDonnell-Douglas a few years ago and absorbed the MD-80/90 series as the 717, but the Boeing website still tracks it as an MD-80, which seems a little odd to me, but hey, it's Boeing's to screw up, I suppose.

The plane from that stupid movie Face/Off was quite the looker. But I've no idea what kind it was, if indeed it was even a real plane. Can anyone clue me in?
