Has anyone seen Dancer in the Dark? I was quite impressed with it myself. I think it had to be one of the most gut-wrenching movies I've seen in a while. I think you would agree, if you've seen it. If you have seen it, what is your opinion? I fully endorse the movie. Go down to the movie store and rent it. Just be prepared for an interesting, yet hard to watch, movie.

In brief, it sucked. (none / 0) (#1)

I walked out of the theater when I saw it. It was tragedy porn, it was what you get if you decide to generalize on the concept of the horror movie by choosing a feeling other than terror as your desired manipulative goal.

"Tragedy porn". Great phrase and perfectly applied to Dancer in the Dark.

The movie was a shocking disappointment to (former) Bjork fans who truly enjoyed her life-affirming music. Life's too short for this kind of pity-fest.
