This is my fourth diary entry.
Yes, I'm still here, in spite of my efforts to troll as much as possible by talking about the things boys are really interested in (porn and digital warfare) and to piss off editors of this site.
Anyway, I decided to play it low today.
And to talk about something less important... Iceland.

nothing
nothing - part two
Microsoft Corp. recently (well, several years ago) decided to drop support for Icelandic in Windows 98, the world's best selling and most multi-media-internet-capable operanting system.
Fortunately, the icelandic government could prevent these evil plans by paying a major sum to Microsoft.

But what will happen next?
Will Microsoft stop developping support for Arab? Just because Arabs are mostly using illegal copies or - even worse - using this hacker software Linux/PGP?
Will Microsoft stop developping support for German? After all, the german government published a paper that they too wanted to use more "Open Source" software?
Will Microsoft stop developping support for English? After all, most english speaking people live in the USA and most of those are incapable of reading/writing.

A dark future awaits us...

...Adequacy.org is the most controvercial site on the Internet. Your opinions are quite welcome here, unless you demonstrate utter stupidity. (Like trying to insult the owners of the site, or to troll the readership.)

Trolling might be OK if you want to post your controvercial opinion on some of the more fascist sites out there, but here, where all controvercial opinions are welcome, such a rude and disrespectful tactic will not be tolerated.

Thank you, and have a nice day.

oric.

While such cheap rhetorical tricks may fly at 15 year old geeks.org and Whinging-leftist-chimps.org, we here at adequacy prefer more thought out controversy. Many of us editors use Microsoft products, and appreciate them as operating systems that work well for people who instead of getting fixated on computers, try to accomplish useful work with computers. Please, try to write, deeper, better researched controversial posts, if you need guidance, any of dmg's stories are exemplary examples of scholarship.

Whilst I try to retain the highest professional standards of journalistic integrity, sometimes the pressure of deadlines gets to me, and since I am only human, the odd mistake creeps into one of my contributions.

I would just like to warn anyone considering making a contribution to adequacy.org to CHECK THEIR FACTS. The slightest innacuracy can get a disproportionate response, as I found out to my cost with my Antrhax article.

There are people out there who take thrash metal music seriously enough to make death threats against journalists who make mistakes.

Be careful out there.

I think I got your point that my speculations about Microsoft's possible quitting support for certain languages are a very bad journalistic style and can at the most be accounted to the realm of fairy tales.
I'd like to excuse my 15-years-g**k-like, blasphemic, badly recherched and propagandic "article".
I'd like to promise you that my next diary entry tomorrow will be carefully composed and closely related to the known facts. I'll not drift away to a speculative comment.

I'd like to excuse especially the wrong link to the german government's paper. The correct link is:

Thank you very much for your patience with me.

Don't you know that MYNX is the code word used by the the terrorists for ANTHRAX!! How can you be so insensitive to the victims of the terrorist strikes!! You are obviously making light of our nation's plight and are cashing in on the terrible tragedy that we have endured. You should be ashamed.
