[editor's note by elenchos] This diary entry has been edited because I didn't like what it said or the way it said it. If you don't like that, then go to some other site

[editor's note by iat] I've just checked the logs, and nobody has edited this diary (before me). This appears to be some lame attempt at humour.

[editor's note by elenchos] iat is right. I haven't touched this diary.

[editor's note by iat] Hey, that wasn't me. Somebody is taking liberties.

I haven't edited this diary, but the diary has been edited by someone. It appears that hackers have broken into the Adequacy server and are editing users' diaries. Unfortunately, the security of our users' email address database has now compromised and you can all expect to receive large amounts of spam from the hackers. Please lobby your elected representatives, asking them to intern all self-confessed hackers so that this sort of incident doesn't occur in future.

The hackers also burned down the Reichstag and the WTC.

...the Reichstag and the WTC.

You must be talking about the four thousand Jews. Good God, it's gotten out. Soon the rumor will be everywhere. Hell, it's everywhere now, at least in your vile, lawlwess Soviet Union - where not even the cruel Stalinist censorship can ever hope to defeat the samizdat - which means there's no stuffing it back into the bottle... though, of course, they'll try!

You do understand, just by having mentioned it, you're doomed to assassination and so am I.

...it sounds enough like me that I don't feel impersonated in a pathological way. If I see my name stolen like this again, I will probably eradicate the whole thing instantly and be done with it, however.

It's Greek for refutation (very droll), as you probably discovered when you decided to steal the word for use as your pseudo-name.

If an original work of yours was stolen, I would support you in your fight against the thieves, but as it is, don't go crying when people pick things you've already half-inched.

On *this* site it's my name. (none / 0) (#8)

What gets posted on some inAdequate web site is of no concern to me, and any nonsense and drivel you want may be posted there. So anywhere but here, 'elenchos' is your word to do anything you want with.

Why not go to such an inAdequate site (or create your own) and post something there right now?

"Because it isn't" thought there was some room for debate with me on this issue, and attempted to argue with me.

"I refute it thus," as Samuel Johnson once said.

The "editors notes" in this diary are subtly but visibly fake. Also the "[redacted]" notice.

Though I did get "fooled". But it's not like elenchos mucking with somebody's diary is out of place. Wow. What will they next "fool" me with, a claim that the sky is blue?
